Tri-Clamp Long Ferrule (14AM7)

Quantity - +

Long weld tri-clamp ferrules connect sanitary process lines to permanent welded end.

Long weld clamp ferrules allow extra room for welding capabilities when assembling process lines. Stainless steel design is offered in both 304 and 316L alloy options. Sizes for this product range from 1/2 inch all the way up to 12 inches. For joining clamp fittings to welded ends. Orbital weld is recommended to ensure proper connectivity, tri-clamp connections finish this process line.

Recommended products include clamp gaskets and single-pin, heavy duty clamps.

3-A Sanitary Standards Inc. certifies products meet FDA and USDA regulations to prevent contamination in food, beverage, dairy, and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

Can I get a step file of this item?
  1. Q Can I get a step file of this item?
    A

Yes, we do have STP files available for most fittings.  Please contact us letting us know the size you need and we'll gladly send you the corresponding file.

  2. What is the ID tolerance on the 1.870” ID of the L14AM7-2-316 tri-clamp ferrule?
  3. Q What is the ID tolerance on the 1.870” ID of the L14AM7-2-316 tri-clamp ferrule?
A The tolerance for the ID is +/- .005
  4. What sort of pressure rating do these ferrules typically have? Specifically for the 10" Size with the 316L ferrule, are there any published standards for maximum pressure that may be encountered?
  5. Q What sort of pressure rating do these ferrules typically have? Specifically for the 10" Size with...... Read more
A Pressure is completely dependant upon which clamp is selected to secure the tri-clamp fitting. The clamps will give out long before these fittings do. For more information on pressure please see this page.
  6. Is there a difference in the flange thickness between a standard tri-clamp tank ferrule L14AM7-4 and a heavy wall tri-clamp tank ferrule 14MPW-4?
  7. Q Is there a difference in the flange thickness between a standard tri-clamp tank ferrule L14AM7-4 ...... Read more
A The flanges should be uniform in size for both of these items.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
  8. Is this product ASME certified?
  9. Q Is this product ASME certified?
A I'm sorry, but most of the products available on Sanitary Fittings are not ASME certified. ASME is usually required within the bio-pharmaceutical industry and is not typical for most installations. Our heavy duty tank weld ferrule is the only product that we sell to meet that certification at the moment. Please check back often and our product line continues to expand.
  10. What is the OD of the flange? please
  11. Q What is the OD of the flange? please
A Hello, great question! This comes up very often with tri-clamp / tri-clover fittings. The OD diameter of the flange varies with the sanitary fitting size. In all cases, the outside diameter of the flange will be GREATER than the sanitary fitting diameter. This is a common mistake for people new to purchasing sanitary fittings.   Please refer to our Sanitary Fittings Dimensions guide to answer all your sizing questions related to tri-clamp fittings.
