Questions and answers of the customers
Q Why no 3/4"?A This was an oversight on our part. We have added the 3/4" Tri-Clamp Flange Adapter for purchase online now. The sku number for this item is: 38MP-.75-316.
Q Is this product 3A Certified?A Not exactly. This question does not have a straight forward answer for the time being. The tri-clamp flange adapter consists of a flat tube flange, which is 3A compliant, and a tri-clamp ferrule, which is also 3A compliant. To make this adapter we simply weld the two pieces together. For all intents and purposes, this product should be 3A compliant. However, the product has not gone through 3A certification processes. The good news is that we are submitting this product to the 3A board for compliance approval. TL/DR: This product is not 3A compliant but we expect it to be approved very soon.
Q When the description says, "Orbital weld is required to ensure proper connectivity..." is it talking about a weld on this adapter, or is it talking about the user supplied flange? If it's the former, where is this weld?A Whoops! That was a goof on our part. No welding is required for this tri-clamp flange adapter. One end connects to the processing flange or pump via nuts & bolts while the tri-clamp end connects via gasket and clamp connection.
Q For your part "Tri-clamp Flange Adapter" is the flange connection 150# Raised Face or 150# Flat Face?A The flange connection is a flat face so it sits flush with the mating flange, connected with bolts and gasket.
Q Do you stock these products or are they manufactured per order?A While we do carry some standard size (1", 2") flange tri-clover adapters on hand most of these products are made to order. Typical lead time is about 1 - 2 weeks and these will ship out of our Florida facility. As with any item online, please call for availability and lead times. Thanks!
