Sanitary Fittings Introduces New Product Line DIN Fittings

Sanitary Fittings LLC, a distributor of stainless steel fittings and accessories, is introducing a new product line offering of DIN Fittings. The fittings will be available to purchase online in a variety of both lengths and diameters. All fittings offered by Sanitary Fittings are USDA/FDA approved for use in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.

DIN Fittings are the European counterpart to standard tri-clamp fittings. The food and beverage industries utilize subsets of these fittings including 11851 (threaded style) and 32676 (clamp style). They are primarily used by breweries but can be found in a variety of different industries.

“Occasionally, customers will purchase processing equipment from overseas which typically comes outfitted with DIN Fittings” said co-founder of Sanitary Fittings, John Zabkowicz. “By offering these fittings we can now help customers retrofit equipment without the need for removing existing connections.”

Sanitary Fittings also offers in-house manufacturing capabilities giving customers the option to convert DIN Fittings into tri-clamp fittings by creating custom adapters.

Unlike tri-clamp fittings, DIN Fittings are not 3A Certified. Instead, DIN fittings follow the EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group) standard. EHEDG is a non-profit consortium of equipment manufacturers, food producers, suppliers to the food industry dedicated to improving the processes and quality in food production.
